We're back with eth0 in 2026! eth0 is a Do-It-Yourself high-tech geek conference in the Netherlands, aiming toward sharing knowledge and enthusiasm on technology and IT related fields including hardware, electronics, 3D printers, networks, programming, (open) technologies, accessibility, privacy, ethics, security, hardware hacking and much more. By day participants hack away at projects, when the sun goes down it's time for beer, club-mate (or your favourite alternative Mate!), games (Hacker Jeopardy!) - party or chill out! There's always a ton of techy activities, a loaded-out bar and an abundance of hackerspace activity. Maybe someone brings along lasers to complete the party!
Eth0 is an unique event as the ticket prize includes breakfast and dinner for two days and a place to sleep.

Talks, workshops and projects
This edition, we will have the eth0:VOC take care of the schedule. We are expecting the CfP to open around the beginning of May.
Our CfP process works like this:
- You can submit your talk proposal using a form until the CfP closes at the end of August.
- We review all the submissions and expect this to take one or two weeks.
- We notify our preferred talk proposals that they have been accepted. Depending on how many proposals there are, this might be everyone!
- The authors of the accepted proposals have to re-confirm that they are going to actually do their talks.
- We schedule the confirmed proposals based on your availability on your profile.
- Any left over talk proposals will be notified that their talks have been rejected.
Examples for talks that will most likely be generally unacceptable are blatant advertising. Please do not submit a talk if you do not have a ticket yet or you know you will not be able to attend. If you cannot hold the proposed talk for any reason during the CfP or before we have sent you a notification, please let us know by sending us an email.
For holding your talk, the standard setup will be a projector with HDMI connection, a microphone/loudspeakers and a table to stand at or chair to sit on. If you need something else, please write that in the "submission notes" field and we will see how we can accommodate you.
If you select your talk to be recorded, we will try to record it and upload it to media.ccc.de later. This depends on the availability of VOC helpers though. See the volunteering page.
Workshops can be registered after the start of the event and will be in one of the hackcenters.
Rules
To make eth0 run as smoothly and fun as previous years, we have written down some rules.
- The most important rule: Please respect everyone's right to personal space and privacy. Don't take pictures of each other unless you have asked for everyone's permission.
- Despite this being a hackerevent, please refrain from performing illegal practices that could get us, your fellow hackers, or the venue in trouble. Hacking is not cracking!
- We run this event together. That means that we expect you to clean up your own mess - and we expect some! - and we would also love your help building up and tearing down. Let's leave the venue in at least as good as a state as we got it!
- Feeling sick? Please act in a responsible way and think of your fellow hackers. We have face masks and covid tests available; please use them as you see fit.
- If you feel uncomfortable, bothered by people or otherwise concerned, please do not hesitate to contact any Orga member.
Public health policy (PHP)
We strive to be accommodating to everyone. We will have CO2 monitoring in the different areas, ventilation will be applied as much as possible. In terms of COVID, there will be tests available on site but testing is not mandatory. We ask all visitors to perform a voluntary test upon entering the event.
We have active air filters available for the two hackcenters. We are still looking for air filters for the presentation room.
Volunteering
We're building the event together. Take a look at the volunteering page if you want to help out with something specific.

Snacks & Drinks
At the event we'll be selling Mate (several flavours like Club Mate, Granat and Flora) and a multitude of soda's. Several snacks will also appear. All will be dealt with through self-service and paid through revbank. Please be helpful and restock the fridge if drinks run low. Tea and coffee will be available as well.
Tosti
As always we hope to eat a lot of tosti's during the event. A tosti is a build-it-yourself toast sandwich with bread, (butter), cheese and (ham).
Special diets
If you have special dietary requirements such as allergies, please signal this while ordering your ticket. You can select also submit if you prefer Vegetarian or Vegan. We will try to accommodate as many people as we can!

We are organizing a volunteer Shuttle service from Helmond Station. Want to shuttle/get shuttled? Please signal this on your ticket. You'll be contacted close to the event.
Car
The venue is reachable by car. Navigate using your favourite lispeltuut. There is a parking lot at the venue, although we do not have space if everyone arrives by car. Please carpool if you can! There is a large parking lot a little away where you can park in case the lot is full, we can organize someone to shuttle you.
Wanna carpool?
Sleeping
We are staying at De Hoof again, like last year. This time we will have Hoeve Nolleken, one of the accommodations offered by De Hoof. For outside activities or camping (see below) there is a big grass field outside the building that we can use.
The shared rooms are bunk bed style, with around 4 to 8 beds per room. A couple bedrooms will have private bathrooms. There will be special snore and Women, trans, and non-binary bedrooms picked before the event starts. You'll be able to claim a bed in one of the rooms by noting your handle on the sheet of A4 on the door of the bedroom.
Please bring your own sleeping bag, fitted sheet and pillow!
Camping
You may pitch your tent on one of the fields near the building. No special facilities though, BYO cables, stuff and gizmos for surviving autumn.
Nearby accomodations
There are some hotels/BnB's in Someren, which is almost entirely walking distance from the venue. Some picks in no particular order:
