Eth0:2012 Summer is an outdoor high-tech geek conference planned for this summer. It aims toward sharing knowledge on tech/IT related fields including security, networks, programming, privacy, new (open) technologies, ethics and hacking. At daylight there are [[Eth0:2012_Summer_CFP|talks]] on these subjects, but when the sun goes down its definitely time to pick up the slack. There will be enough to do, as we have a bonfire, a fully equipped [[lounge]] (with bar) and an overload of hackerspace activity. Maybe someone brings along lasers and there is room to party. Enough reason to pick up the slack and go to Eth0?

The event starts at the 14th of august and will last for a full five days, one more than most of these camps. Its a Geek Certified Outdoor Camping Craze(tm): a.k.a. we're situated in a [[Eth0:2012_Summer_Terrain|heavily forested area]]. The camp-site provides everything you [[Eth0:2012_Summer_Practical_Information|might want]]. Such as showers, a conference hall, mosquitoes, a lounge, [[Eth0:2012_Summer_Villages|villages]] and enough grassy bits to set up your tent.

There's plenty of space around the building, most of it private road, parking places or concrete, so there should be no need for 4x4's this year.

== Facilities ==
All rooms have heating in the floors, are newly build, and should be plenty cozy for everyone.

You need to bring your own sleeping bag / pillow. (also, we don't have enough toothbrushes for everyone)

The shared rooms are bunk bed style, with around 6 to 8 beds per room.
There's plenty of hot showers and clean toilets (male / female) around the building.

=== 1% rooms ===
There's a limited number of 'private' 2 person bedrooms available that are adjacent to the area's we will be keeping the event in.
These's rooms are equipped with a private toilet and shower, shared with the other occupant, you can think of this as your own hotel room, at 6 meters away from the event.
The beds are separate, so no need to worry.

The deal is, one person buys a corp ticket, and gets to invite a volunteer ticket holder into the room.

Basic foods are included in your ticket: 2x dinner, 2x lunch and 2x breakfast. The first dinner is served around 19.30.

At the bar its possible to get drinks (coke, mate, etc), [[aetab|broodje aetab]] (till 12:00) and fried foods. Prices are moderate, we tend to keep it low.

There are supermarkets nearby and you can bring your own drinks/foods if you want to. There are no public cooking facilities.

Also there will be a [[koffiebar|coffee bar]] at least on Saturday

Retro will be themed with the evil organization MAD. We expect the highest ranking MAD coordinator to visit eth0:2011 winter with an escort of four goons. This event will be guaranteed Inspector-Gadget free.

There are about 6 to 8 playable consoles and probably we're going to build/reorganize our stash. Drawings etc are coming up. :)

Basic foods are included in your ticket: 2x dinner, 2x lunch and 2x breakfast. The first dinner is served around 19.30.

At the bar its possible to get drinks (coke, mate, etc), [[aetab|broodje aetab]] (till 12:00) and fried foods. Prices are moderate, we tend to keep it low.

There are supermarkets nearby and you can bring your own drinks/foods if you want to. There are no public cooking facilities.

Goed bier is zeldzaam. We nemen een reis door het aanbod van kwaliteitsbiertjes. Proeven is blind, daarna free for all. Voor de mensen die niet van bier houden is er natuurlijk genoeg ander voedsel en drank. De BBQ/Frituurmachine/Suikerspinmachine zal waarschijnlijk ook van stal worden gehaald.

Wat we precies gaan proeven is nog een verrassing. Goed wordt het zeker. Doel: iedereen vindt een nieuwe favoriet!

Hoogstwaarschijnlijk in Zutphen bij Stitch. Een betere plaats wordt nog gezocht. Hoe dan ook: er is genoeg slaapplek als je je eigen zooi meeneemt.
